Hi! I'm Arif Rasheed!

I joined the City of Houston in 2012. I am currently the Deputy Director of Finance, overseeing the Financial Reporting and Operations Division. I have a Master's in Accounting and several financial professional certifications.

My professional expertise is in governmental finance and accounting, and I have over a decade of experience as a trustee on a multi-billion-dollar municipal pension system. That means I have a deep understanding of the functions and inner workings of a municipal pensions and I want to use that expertise to make our pension system work better for all of us - the beneficiaries!
